Responsible for collecting, refining, and analysing sales data.
Responsibilities
1. Data Collection and Analysis: Gathering sales data from various sources,
cleaning and organizing the data, and analysing it to identify trends, patterns,
and insights.
2. Reporting: Generating regular reports on sales performance, including key
metrics such as revenue, sales volume, and market share. Presenting findings to
stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
3. Forecasting: Using historical data and statistical methods to forecast future sales
trends and outcomes, helping the sales team make informed decisions and set
achievable targets.
4. Data Visualization: Creating visual representations of sales data, such as charts,
graphs, and dashboards, to facilitate understanding and interpretation by non-
technical stakeholders.
5. Identifying Opportunities: Proactively identifying opportunities for sales growth
and optimization based on data analysis, such as identifying underperforming
products or regions with untapped potential.
6. Collaboration: Working closely with sales teams, marketing teams, and other
departments to understand business objectives and provide data-driven insights
and recommendations.
7. Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluating and refining data collection
processes, analytical methods, and reporting techniques to improve accuracy,
efficiency, and relevance of insights.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and statistical
software packages (e.g., Python, R). Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is often required.
