1 cup yellow moong dal
3 cups water

2 tomatoes, finely chopped

1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp garam masala
2 tbsp ghee or oil

Instructions:
Rinse the yellow moong dal thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear.
In a pressure cooker, add the dal and water. Cook for 3-4 whistles until the dal is soft and cooked through.
